Worker & Contractor Interviews

Structured interview protocol with psychological-safety provisions.

1. Sample design

Interview sampling is informed by AM-01 stakeholder mapping. Data workers, content moderators, red-teamers, annotators, and contracted reviewers are sampled across geographies, employment classifications, and tenure.

2. Psychological safety

Interviews are voluntary, off-site or on neutral video infrastructure, anonymised in published outputs, and conducted by an assessor not involved in the applicant's commercial relationship. Participants are informed of escalation channels independent of the applicant.

3. Compensation

Participants are compensated at their normal hourly rate for time spent, paid by Etika and reimbursed within the assessment fee. Compensation does not flow through the applicant.

4. Protocol

Structured questions cover working conditions, exposure to harmful content, mental-health support, right of refusal, payment timeliness, contractual transparency, and avenues for raising concerns. Free-form sections capture worker-led issues.

5. Reporting

Aggregated findings are published; individual testimony is never attributable. Material findings trigger AM-06 classification.
